Peter Abbarno is a candidate for the State House of Representatives in the 20th Legislative District. Peter is a small business owner, Attorney, and City of Centralia Mayor Pro Tem; but first and foremost, Peter is a husband and father. Peter lives with his wife Holly (Hawes) Abbarno, a math teacher at Centralia Middle School, and their two children Sophia and Antonio.
Peter is the current president of the Centralia College Foundation, board member with the Lewis Economic Development Council, host of the AM1470 KELA “Let’s Talk About It” show, volunteer with WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) and the Hub City Mission Shelter, and also serves as a Mentor at WF West and Morton high schools. In 2018, Peter was voted the “Best Volunteer” in Lewis County by Daily Chronicle newspaper readers.
In 2019, Peter received the “Economic Development Leadership Award” from the Lewis County Economic Development Council, received the Human Rights Award from the Church Women United organization, and was named the “Person of the Year” by the Daily Chronicle newspaper editorial staff.
