Republicans introduced a parents’ bill of rights to implement several important measures, including:

  • Require school districts to post curricula, textbooks, and other instructional materials online, enabling parents to have easy access to the materials being used in classrooms.
  • Mandate that school boards allow parents to actively participate in public meetings, ensuring that parents have a voice in the decision-making processes.
  • Record school board meetings and make the recordings available online, enhancing transparency and providing a means for the community to stay informed about the discussions and decisions made by school board members.

Unfortunately, Olympia Democrats blocked efforts to let parents actually parent their children. Even with Democrats hell-bent on blocking even the most commonsense proposals, Republicans will continue fighting for transparency and parental involvement in public school curriculum. But we can’t do it alone.

Sign on as a Citizen Cosponsor of our Parents’ Bill of Rights today! We need people across Washington who believe in common sense to stand with us right now.
