About Jenny Graham

Jenny Graham is a native of Washington State and a 6th District legislator for the Washington State House of Representatives. She and her husband Curtis raised their family in the 6th District where they still reside. As a child, Jenny’s parents owned a trucking company which later led to her joining the military in the transportation field. She is an Army Reserves veteran and proud mother of an Airforce airman stationed in Alaska. Professionally her life skills are rooted in blue collar industry along with having owned small businesses in the beauty, and rental fields encompassing recreational vehicles and housing.

Jenny has served our community in a number of ways. A few of these include having been a Cub Scout den mother for Pack 183, long time District 81 school volunteer, a registered martial arts instructor, served as a Spokane Parks and Recreation ski coach for the developmentally disabled, and a strong mentor for vulnerable individuals. She loves camping, is a certified scuba diver, and loves home improvement and recycling projects.

The infamous Green River serial murder case shaped Jenny as a justice minded individual. Her sister, Debra Estes, and other friends were murder victims’ in that case. A need to understand what happened led to her becoming a child and domestic violence advocate. A concerned mother and survivor of child rape, Jenny was the driving force behind bringing law enforcement, legislators, and crime victims together to successfully challenge and change WA State child sexual assault statutes of limitations in 2014. As a tenacious legislator, Jenny was proud to be part of finishing what “she” started to end the child sexual assault statutes of limitations.

Today, Jenny works to find balance in our justice system. She supports rehabilitation of individuals convicted of committing a crime who take responsibility for their actions. Second chances, however, should not take the place of accountability to crime victims. She understands it is possible to help those willing to change and at the same time to manage serial offenders to protect our families and neighborhoods.
