About Mike Steele

Mike Steele was born and raised in Lake Chelan, Washington. After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University and majoring in Political Science and Business Administration, he served in the White House as a member of the Political Affairs Team, later returning to the Washington State House of Representatives to serve as a staff member for the Republican Caucus. He now lives in Chelan, and has been the Executive Director of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce for over nine years. He is on several local boards, including the Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation, the North Central Washington Small Business Loan Fund, the Community Foundation of North Central Washington and a past president of the Lake Chelan Rotary Club. He is also a past board member for the Chelan County Fair. Mike currently serves as the Chair for the WA State Chamber of Commerce Executives. Mike enjoys spending time on the Lake at the family cabin, skiing at Mission Ridge and hanging out with his English Springer, Bentley.
