About Skyler Rude

“I am running for re-election because I believe in putting people before politics. Lawmaking should be driven by our values and common sense, not by which party controls the Legislature or who gets credit for legislation. I will continue the 16th District tradition of working across the aisle for the benefit of our state and our community.”

Skyler was born, raised and educated in Walla Walla. His legislative priorities include ensuring high-quality educational opportunity for all Washington children, a healthy business climate that allows all business to thrive, and improved service delivery for our most vulnerable populations.

Skyler has served the 16th District since 2015, first as a legislative assistant and since 2019 as our newest State Representative. Skyler’s professional background includes property and casualty insurance and telecommunications.
