“Washington grown” Gina R. (Mosbrucker) McCabe is a fourth-generation resident of beautiful Klickitat County, and lives in Goldendale.
Her education includes being a graduate of Goldendale High School. She received an Associate degree from Clark College in Vancouver and a Bachelors degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. She also studied at Concord University School of Law and is a certified Hotel Administrator from the Educational Institute.
Gina serves on a Hotel Regional Advisory Board governing Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. In 2012, she was elected to serve on the National Choice Hotels Owners Council Board of Directors which oversees all corporate hotel franchise properties in the United States of America and abroad. She chairs and serves on committees including Communications, Education, Brand & Marketing, and Co-op Distribution. She was chosen Woman of the Year finalist twice and General Manager of the Year from the Washington Lodging Association.
Business entrepreneurship is her specialty. She has owned and operated various successful small family business’ for over 20 years. She understands what is takes to meet a payroll. She knows the struggles and will fight against increased regulations and higher taxes on business’.
Serving as a precinct chair officer past and present, a campaign manager for a Seattle judicial candidate, volunteering on many political races, and working at the Attorney General’s office show her longtime dedication to public service. She has been appointed on Economic Development boards, Tourism Advisory Board and Chamber of Commerce Board, Vice President and a dedicated community member for over 20 years.
Volunteerism has always been important in her life. She has rode her bike 120 miles for the American Lung Association, Walked 60 miles for Breast Cancer, Ran 10K’s for the Heart Association and raised money for and participated in the 24 hour Cancer Relay for Life. She has also owned and operated an award winning community performing arts studio since 1993 that builds self-esteem in children.
For over 15 years, Gina has been a coach and mentor at the local high school. One day a week her practice schedule included having the athletes spend time with the elderly at an assisted living center. She holds various coaching and teaching awards.
The combination of her extensive experience, education, and volunteerism, make her qualified and dedicated in serving as the Washington State House of Representative for the 14th District Position #2. This is a dream she continues to work hard daily to achieve. She is a proven leader who will put the “Represent” back in Representative.
