Mark James has lived in Snohomish County for nearly 30 years and is currently a City of Marysville Councilmember serving on the Finance Committee, Government Affairs Committee, The Mayors Growth Management Taskforce, Community Development Block Grant Committee and the Snohomish County Law & Justice Council. Additionally, Mark holds an appointed position as a Snohomish County Planning Commissioner spending considerable time on countywide land use policy issues.
Mark is a U.S. Army Veteran and a local business owner. He also worked locally as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.
Mark volunteers time at various organizations including Marysville Sunrise Rotary, Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, Marysville Community Food Bank and his local church.
As a husband and father, Mark and his wife have made Marysville home for the past 30 years where they raised their three boys. Their sons are now serving in Law Enforcement and Public Service careers. Mark enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, traveling and photography.
