Kevin Ballard has built solid roots in his community since arriving to DuPont in 2007. He currently serves on the DuPont City Council as well as on the city Planning, Public Works and Economic Development committee. Kevin is the City Council advisor to the City of DuPont Planning Commission, a commission he chaired before running for elected office. Kevin holds a Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Association of Washington Cities and awaits an appointment to the Washington State Forensic Investigation Committee.
Kevin served for nearly 23 years as a US Army Aviator of which 13 years were in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). Prior to his Army career he was a Law Enforcement Officer with the City of Union City, California. Kevin has owned a small business since 2013, and is a champion of small business in his community.
Volunteerism remains a big part of Kevin’s life with memberships in the American Legion Post 53, The Military Officer’s Association of America, and the Military Order of World Wars.
Kevin, his sweetheart Amy, and their two dogs and two cats enjoy calling the DuPont community home. Kevin is keen on the issues pertinent in the 28th Legislative District and realizes now, more than ever, the constituency needs a leader who represents their policy positions.
