About Landon Halverson

Landon Halverson is a lifelong resident of the Eastside, having lived in Bothell, Woodinville, and now, Issaquah. The grandson of a union steelworker, Landon learned the importance of hard work from a young age. After obtaining early graduation from Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, WA, Landon received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and shortly afterwards was accepted to the University of Washington’s U-ACT program, which provides emergency certification to teach in Washington’s poorest schools. Landon will continue his passion for teaching here in King County in August after his return from The European Union last year, where he worked at a K-8 international school in Differdange, Luxembourg during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dedication to Public Service:

Landon first became active in local politics in 2017 after the passing of State Senator Andy Hill. Landon looked up to Hill as an accomplished statesman who knew the importance of bringing folks together, and knew that it was time to fight to ensure Andy’s seat was filled by someone with a similar commitment to public service. After working for Jinyoung Englund’s campaign that year, Landon joined Dino Rossi’s team as a campaign staffer, dedicated to electing common-sense conservatives from Washington State and beyond. In the winter of 2020, Landon accepted a full-time position with the Republican National Senatorial Committee as a Field Organizer in the State of Georgia, where he worked tirelessly to preserve the balance of power in the United States Senate. Since then, Landon has remained active in local politics, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Community Involvement:

While living in Cincinnati, Landon combined his love for music and education by partnering with Cincinnati Arts and Technology Studios (CATS), a local non-profit dedicated to helping at-risk youth graduate high school, as part of a pro-bono consulting team that assisted CATS with marketing and fundraising. After returning to Seattle, Landon has remained active with the Jacob Butze Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Jacob was a close friend of Landon’s, and he looks forward to working with colleagues of all political affiliations to fully-fund research into lifesaving cancer treatments.
